Interreg Euregion Meuse Rhein invests another 16 miljoen into this region

11 new projects approved

Interreg A, the crossborder subsidy programme of the European Union takes its shape by the joint forces of 13 regional partners. In the recent meeting of the Monitoring Committee 11 new projects were selected. With the adjoined co-financing obligations this means that around 30 million euros will be invested into the region.  15,7 million euros of these euros are GDPF funds. This way the European Union keeps investing into the region.

96 miljoen European Funds

Interreg V-A EMR 2014-2020 has a budget on GDPF funds of 96 million euros to benefit projects in the region. The goal is to strengthen and empower the potential of the region across borders.  The selected projects have to radicate the current boundaries and obstacles in this path. The finances for these projects also come from the regions themselves and projectpartners that are committed.

5e Call

Taken the previous approved projects into consideration there is a total amount of 66 million of EDRF money already allocated in this region. Well on its way, but still the programme has financial means to start a next call: for the coming years there is still 30 million euros available.

Thats why Interreg V-A EMR expects to open a fifth call in october 2018 where new projectproposals can be submitted. On our website www.interregemr.eu we will inform you and keep you updated on the development of this call.
