CORESIL

Talking to people with disabilities, their families as well as talking to other vulnerable groups, the project partners experienced that these persons are affected by the Corona pandemic very strongly. Many times external support and aid stopped due to Corona measures. Persons with disabilities, as well as their families, can therefore feel left alone.

At the same time, it is of utmost importance that persons with disabilities understand COVID-19, the health information, and the information over the management of the crisis and lockdown process. The Interreg Euregio Meuse-Rhine project CORESIL will address these different needs by bringing a collective, cross-border response to the Euregio Meuse-Rhine (EMR).

CORESIL will thus focus on two axes:

  1. the resilience support - psychosocial and health management counseling. In order to support the different groups strongly affected by the Corona pandemic, the aim is to develop a coherent offer with a view to promote natural recovery and autonomy and to identify and guide those who need support. The project herby aims to improve the coherence of the response on the EMR in terms of support of the target audience but also communicate adequately on the crisis and its consequences.

  2. Pandemic Resilient Social Services to strengthen the pandemic resilience of their services and assure the business continuity of their services that are essential in supporting elderly people and people with disabilities. The involved project partners will have an extensive cross-border exchange about how to use and implement digitalisation tools, develop and implement new work concepts in their organisation to stay operational every time and everywhere.
